It’s the tail end of the first term already. I’ve had some encouraging feedback from the other teachers. A number of the kids have become more confident and are starting to speak more in English and socialize more. That is really heartening to hear. I’ve really been in a quandary, wondering whether the strategies I’m using are right. I’m in a rut trying to think of how I should be individualizing my lesson plans according to individual needs etc.
I have decided that I will also place more focus on the Alphabet for a few of them and Sight Words in general.
Looks like the September hols won’t be so much of a holiday after all. Loads of research and planning to do. But I hope I will remember to take breaks.
